Mike Evans Announces Campaign for Missouri State House
Key Community Leaders Pledge Support at Announcement
ARNOLD—Mike Evans announced his campaign for the Missouri State House District 101 on last Tuesday in front of a group of supporters at an event at the Havana Cigar Room.
“As both a teacher and a veteran I have been very concerned with the direction the Republicans in the Missouri Legislature have taken this state,” said Evans. “That is why I am proud to announce my candidacy for the Missouri State House here in the community where I grew up and the community where my family has run a business for over 30 years, Arnold.”
Missouri State House District 101 consists of Arnold and portions of Imperial in Jefferson County, subject to ongoing judicial review. Evans was born and raised in Arnold where his family has run a business, Just Pools, for thirty years.
“I am concerned about the quality of education in our state,” continued Evans. “As a teacher, I know that we need to be given adequate tools to help teach our future generations.”
“In addition, every since I left the Army I have been working extensively to help our Veterans. There is so much that Missouri can do to help our soldiers when they return home.”
“We must do more,” concluded Evans.
Evans also announced the names of several key supporters in his campaign. Steve Davis will serve as the chair of the campaign. Davis is an attorney in Arnold. State Representative Ron Casey also pledged his support. Representative Casey represents the neighboring 99th District.
Mike Evans is a high school teacher in the Arnold School District and a veteran of the US Army. Evans serves on the Arnold Building Appeals Committee and is a local board member for the Selective Service. He was awarded the Army Service Medal and is a member of: Missouri National Education Association, MBEA and MO-ACTE.
