U.S. Army Veteran, Mike Evans, Ed.S. Evans is a graduate of the Kogod School of Business, at American University, D.C. Evans also holds a Masters in Business Education, and an advanced degree as a Curriculum Specialist (Ed.S.) . Evans is a certified business educator, marketing and communications professional, and community advocate for Veterans and Military Families, and our persons with disabilities.
Evans marketing experience includes: The White House Office of Technology and Science Policy & The National Science Foundation, as the Marketing Coordinator for the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching; production manager at M&T Productions, llc; Perfect World Productions, and his family owned business, Just Pools, Inc., and is the owner of MWE Marketing Products.
In addition, Evans has organized talent and speakers for National Youth Day in Washington, DC, and through his experience as a public school teacher, Evans led his multimedia class in the marketing and promotion efforts for the “The Pole of Hope” - Veterans Memorial, and the 1st annual Veterans Breakfast, as well as, the 1st annual Red Cross blood drive at Bridges Alternative High School. Additionally, Evans led the efforts to create the nationally recognized (National Character Education Partnership) "Fox Olympics" and "Wasting no Time" initiatives, and was awarded the 2012 VFW post 2583 teacher of the year award.
Evans has served as a political adviser on Veteran and Education policy for numerous causes, organizations and campaigns including: Serving as the Democratic Veterans liaison in 2008 and 2012 to the Veterans and Military Families Council; Veterans outreach for Governor Jay Nixon's campaign; Missouri State Treasurer Clint Zwiefel's "Military Medals Initiative" outreach; the Truman National Security Project; and an NEA national education advocate.
Evans is serving his second term on the MNEA Executive PAC, the Disability Representative on the Aging and Disabilities Commission in the City of Arnold, member of American Legion Post #283, and the DAV. In addition: serves as the national appointee as the Mid-West Director of the Veterans and Military Families Council of the DNC, and also served as the Chairman of the Arnold Veterans Commission.
